I have to say hearing how loud Carroll O'Connor yelled in this episode it cuts through me like when I got yelled at when I did thing wrong when I was young. Sometimes after my family would watch this show I always wonder why was that guy(Archie) was always angry. Even when the episodes were over, I just felt like I did something wrong and felt like apologizing to my parents but there was nothing to apologize for. But love this show.

Archie's rant could have won the Emmy on it's own. Maybe the best dramatic scene in network TV history.

wow --- they turn one of the all-time greatest episodes into Velveeta. Do yourself a favor and watch the original episode without the cheesey fluff.

Archie says "God Damn" in this episode for the first and only time in the history of All in the Family. Hey, how's that for a Merry Christmas!

I'm 41, so I watched this show sometimes when I was a kid, but it was the Archies Place era before I really understood it. I have been watching many of the shows lately, and I think it is the most relevant show about American culture, ever. Watching this now I realize how ingenious it was, and Archie is not a bad guy at all. Unfortunately I don't think Archie would be happy with what is going on in his Country today.
