A visit to Union, IL will allow you to step back in time & witness generations of railroading up close...and operational. It is, quite possibly, the most amazing operational railroad museum in America. "Diesel Days" tends to be the best event of the year if you want to see a good selection of IRM's locomotives doing what they do best. Highlights in this compilation include the "Parade of Locomotives", pay close attention to the CB&Q 9911A (leading the Zephyr train) during the parade as they are sounding both sets of chimes simultaneously, plus the UP DDA40X 6930 "running" with the first-built SD7.
LOVE IT!!!

That simultaneous Leslie A200 and S2M on the E5 was awesome! Sounded like some of the NYC E-Units.

The "triple honk" salute at 5:09 was a nice cool touch from the engineer on the Milwuakee F unit to the Burlington E5.

What an outstanding video! Enjoyed all of the horn action (especially the honkers). Great job and thank you for sharing this.

Certainement le ballet le plus lourd du monde, mais qu'il est beau à voir et à revoir, surtout pour des diesels sous caténaires, félicitations et merci au photographe.

It's not really operating under it's own power Travis. They rebuilt the cab so that SP 1518. The 1518 is doing all the work.
