44 dislikes...
Gladly, these 44 idiots represent only 1% of the viewers. There is hope, in spite of these nonsensical people.
I understand everyone is entitled to any opinion, but let's face it: Miles Davis Quintet does not occur every day. This is history at its best. You don't dislike this. PERIOD.

So 54 people don't like extraordinary music, big deal. However, I hope that the music they prefer will also be honored by those who follow us.

God, I hate this voting bullshit! Let's all find a video of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra playing Mahler's 5th Symphony with Herseth on first trumpet and Solti wielding the baton. Ok. Do we all understand that is a totally illegitimate enterprise. Same for Miles. Am I saying that Miles Davis music is as important as Gustav Mahler's? Fucking right I am!

Even playing tunes Miles had been playing for over a decade (Round Midnight), they continue to surprise and delight. It is amazing that he was able to recognize the genius in every one of these men long before it was evident to them subjectively. How many other bandleaders of Mile's stature would start a concert with two tunes written by the saxman who replaced John Coltrane. On stage, Miles was among the most generous jazz players ever. I feel sorry for people who aren't moved by this music.
