This instrument is very special: An irish bouzouki with frets like the turkish saz. So its possible to play quartertones.

Very nice performance--quite a potpourri of styles. I hear a lot of Turkish influence and I like when he switches tonalities (just a few times in this performance). He seems very "at home" with this instrument--I wonder what its provenance is. There's a lot of confusion regarding bouzouki-type instruments like this, with probably up to 10 names for the same type of instrument, depending on the culture, number of strings, etc.
