Though Douglas P. (Death In June) started his own 3-chord acoustic guitar thing a bit earlier than Bill Pritchard he definetely listened to Bill's record and did it for sure more than one time! It grabbed him for sure.
You can easily sing the text of Golden Wedding Of Sorrow to the chords of Arena Says - the influence is there.
Of course, Death In June is much slower and darker, with different meaning, but in terms of particular chords and chords progressions it borrows from Half a Million album.

And Bill Pritchard, in his turn, is influenced by Morrissey, both in the way of singing and the voice (especially on higher notes).

  • Agree, he's the best song writer I've ever known and prolific too

  • Bill hs always been under rated... I wish his songs were better known. Great artist with great songs.

  • Merci Atynotgal. Ca me fait remonter de très bon moments à l'esprit.

Ce poete mal connu du public gagnerait à l'être un peu plus.
