@FlyingVification Strange in what way? A lot of things are patented that probably don't deserve to be, but with something physical like this, even if the underlying concept may be self-evident, rendering it as a design is the part (the "expression") that qualifies for patent protection.
What is the tuning of the guitar in this video before the spider capo is applied? I love the way the guitar sounds with the 1st and the 5th fingers removed

interesting tunings but...is that possible to switch between more traditional tunings like open E, open D or G to standard?

How is it indeed possible that both the Third Hand Capo and the Spider Capo are patended? Seems to be strange.
