You realize on the official toyota site they talk in depth about the batteries.

Toyota claims their batteries are built to last the life of the vehicle.

Toyota also claims that they've never had anyone call in to replace an old battery for wear and tear.

Once the battery dies, like in any car, the car will cease to function.

@pyroboy08 Storeing energy in a carghed a battery is part of why electric motors are more effecenit , if you hade a ture pureHybrid which was combustion enghine that ran on elytorlete blended or ion infused fuel. And had a spilt or compound shape combustion chaber in cylinder, it might be more effecent or come close to the effecenty of a eletctric motor .But the issue of vapor and combustion problem,s or the carghed fuel cuaseing pre-ignistion woulhd make resrach and deshine a problematic issue.

@bstngt Do you have any idea of what you're talking about ? Hybrid cars use electric motors, they ONLY use the gasoline motor to recharge the batteries. Do they sent the battery garbage to other countries. That i don't really know, but if you're American you probably know that your government is a shit, corrupted, and they test pills in African people. Children included. Also people pay the taxes to give money to war for petroil. So yeah Hybrids are the solution at the moment. My Cumpliments.

Hybrids destroy the earth worse than gasoline vehicles, Where the batteries are made EVERYTHING for a 100 mile radius is DEAD!! also where do you think the batteries go when used up? They go to third world countries for kids to play in the acid!! Ford transit connect has a diesel available in turkey that gets 40+MPG but cannot bring it to the states as it does not meet emissions according to THE EPA! it uses less fuel it should get a break on emissions!
