I usually set the safety pins lower but Moose wanted them higher for him and we forgot to move them down. I hit the right side pretty hard on rep #4, but stayed tight and managed a good PR.

  • 465 lbs squat?

Awesome, that means you could almost squat your partner from the background!

  • Yeah, Moose is running about 335-340 these days. He looks bigger on film than he does in person.

I did 510 for a solid, deep single about 2 mos. ago.

  • Also, what is your 1RM now?

  • I did 510 after my third wave of 5/3/1, 2-3 months ago. I wear the knee and elbow sleeves, which are basically a heavy elastic but slip on and off easily, to keep the joints a little more warm. I don't get any carryover out of them, and would have no problem competing without them. Squatting is hard on my body. Thanks for the comment!
