The problem is that when the brutality is over; the corruption starts. Even when you can produce a video of police misconduct, the offending officer(s) walk.

Cops here in the U.S. aren't so much feared as they are hated. They surely know this and so this is where their attitude comes from. They want to be both feared AND respected. You can be one or the other but not both.
