  • @bad16: Hm.. well, the effect was visible when playing the vid directly from the Flip HD camera via a video cable on my HD television. So I doubt the Flip SW had anything to do with that.

    I'm not the only one who has experienced the strange 'shimmering' quality of the videos when recorded on a moving platform. A quick google search confirms this.

  • I uploaded the video with the Flip camera software, and was not given any option to control the quality.

    Although when I view the video it has an 'HQ' button visible, and when I click it, I get a higher-quality video.

  • It sounded like you were draging a bicycle. I get better results uploading from YouTube with my Flip. Flips software alway blurs the vid.

  • even know you have a HD camera you did not upload a HD video..

    if youtube adds a HQ (high quality) button that means the video you uploaded is standard definition.

    if youtube adds a HD (high definition) button that means you uploaded a high definition video.

    if you would upload this video in HD the results would be mind-blowing !!
