  • you can use it pretty well on any surface you would use water colours or acrylics, canvas is fine, obviously heavier weight paper (300gms+) is preferable

  • i love the immediacy and expressiveness of this painting. filled with light - very nice.

  • Can't do same with watercolours because this is liquid graphite; it has a texture and shine watercolours don't have. Hence it is not a supplement for watercolours, but a complementary product, that may add a unique look to your watercolours. There are permanent & re-wettable versions of liquid pencil an unlike watercolour pigment, this one is much easier to lift up. I love it !!

  • what is the differ between this and using black watercolor?

  • very cool, thanks for sharing that

  • General's Sketch and Wash on water color paper has been my favorite medium for years. Liquid Pencil would be great for the under painting of washes. Then going back in with the Wash pencil and adding the detail that I love. I'm looking forward to trying it. Thanks for posting.

  • I just discovered this medium. Thank you for the demonstration. I was just wondering however, what type of paper is best for this kind of work and can it also be used on fine canvas?

  • i like it with the tonal and movement aspects in a vertical plane id like to attempt my hand at this... i always go flat with runny liquids for the sake of control, it may be that it limits my medium. thanks
