So, so sadly, Henry passed away this week, on tuesday, october 17, around 9 a.m. after bravely battling a terminal illness. He was the best dog a person could ever have.

LOL, love your Basket Hound! Bassets, more than any other breed, seem to become aware of the camera. They start looking around and become uncomfortable, usually giving that "get that damned camera outta my face" look. You can see it at the .07 mark in your vid, Fred becomes as uncomfortable as George Clooney in front of paps.

Wow! Henry looks EXACTLY like my sadly deceased childhood friend (who am I kidding, Brother) Oscar. And he used to do the same thing! When other dogs, smaller breeds, would come and visit, we had a smaller bed we kept around for them to use, but Oscar would always have to check them out first.

My basset used to sleep in a cat bed... he was pretty huge and the cat bed very small. Surprisingly a good mix!
