    Well indeed, yet many in the audience and people who keep up to date with politics did.

  • This isn't among his best speeches, is it.

  • Extomporisation....try it infront of a large audience and international media before you make this sort of judgement.

  • I winced at this. It is awkward, boring and inappropriate. Why did they select such an inarticulate man to chair the panel of judges? Even the moribund Tories had more sense.
