  • Sam Daily any relation to Pete?

  • @ChingaChe I think this may have actually been pete daily. I dont have the record on hand to verify this though

  • I have heard a 1917 rendition of Walking the dog, in a Edison Blue Amberol cylinder record. The differences are interesting.

  • @arcticrocker Me too. I have also heard the rolling stones version. Quite a difference between them.

  • Even though they're common, I love watching the Capitol logo going around in 78 rpm!

  • @debiani3866 Check out "over the waves, pete daily and his chicagoans. You can reply to his son, dennis daily who left a post there.

  • @debiani3866 It sounds like Pete's band. His son, Dennis Daily would know. He commented on a video of Pete here on youtube. I'll see if I can track it down.

  • May be you also know whos the singer of this version of "Walking the Dog":

Or got any links to full version?!

    Thanks!

  • "Walking the Dog" is also the name of a 1937 George Gershwin piece, sometimes called "Promenade." It was written for the movie "Shall We Dance" starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

  • I don't think its the same song, this song as too many 2-5-1's for a rock song ;) and if thats not enough the lyrics are all wrong
