My god is better than your God!!

Religionists(those of faith)completely deny reality in exchange for their faith and in doing so unthrone their own God. Atheists deny the gods of religion and any enlightenment therein, yet can't deny the anomaly of our existence nor the human soul. What I am suggesting is that both sides re evaluate the definition of the word....god. For religionists this may be impossible but for Atheists-n-the like, it's paramount. We can't argue that their is NO God when the God we reject is a mere mythological god from manmade religion. And we can't deny that religion innocently started out as our way of understanding our world. Is our our world a lie too? We, who still have reason, know that God does not HAVE to be a "WHO"...so why not investigate the "what"? This video loosely suggests the parameters for this "god" and what it's end result would produce. I don't suggest that we create a god but that we seek the real one. What we have been calling God or Creator could very well exist. It may be energy, nature or a process like time itself. Whatever it is, it's discovery stands to prove that every side on this issue has been both right and wrong. And even if it is a "what", I think it's begging to be found. Hopefully, this video can inspire the debate into a new and different direction.

I would confidently say that there is no god because first of all the god of the bible condones slavery, rape, murder, etc. My morals are better than god's "morals"! Also the fact that the burden of proof is on the person making the wild assertion! If you want to claim that some invisible car exists then it's up to you to prove it! Unfortunately science works just fine. It's the reason for why we are here! I believe a 'what' caused the big bang. Matter and Energy are always conserved!

The parody song is "My Dog's Better than Your Dog." That was the original from the late 1950's. It is by Tom Paxton. God is dog backwards. The humor shouldn't be lost here. Freedom of religion also means freedom FROM religion. Post all you wish, you will not change the universe. What is, is - no matter what your opinion or belief.

@PsyckoSama So asking people to compare their beliefs to logic, reason and truth is, somehow, "evangelizing"? Hmmmm?! I never thought of belief in reality as being a religion. Usually, when a religion evangelizes it's for their own profit...I don't stand to gain anything by getting people to think about their own beliefs. What do u have against people thinking about their beliefs?

@PsyckoSama Well, sorry u couldn't find the song u were looking for but no need to take it out on atheists! Trust me, believers have no problems with preaching, being offensive, disrespectful, rude, hypocritical etc etc. Atheists r simply giving what they get!
