The companies that held the rights to these songs and most Christian artist music, sold them to secular companies for good money. The secular companies buried them to kill the movement...The Artist who were still signed were told to cover secular songs and most walked away. I just quit a 30 year band at Disneyland. If anyone knows some people who want to start a pro Christian cover band...I play bass and sing lead/back up!

Excellent music from an artist ahead of his time! Taylor's music was and is timeless and very creative. Great band, saw them live in Atlanta years ago. The new stuff sounds so much the same and I miss bands that are more raw like the 77's, DA, and Undercover. It's great to find good old hits! Thanks for posting!

Wow, my brother and I made a video using this song in college for his media arts class. A cop interrupted in the middle of filming and almost put a stop to filming. I gotta dig up that clip and post it.

Lyrics are brilliant...

@hollowman777 They were prophets of their day, we (people) as a general rule don't like truth thrown in our faces without apology, so the writings (in this case songs) of the prophets are lost.

@unrelased Their remix is awesome! Even Steve said that he likes many of the remakes off "I Predict a Clone" better than his own!

The relevance of Steve Taylor's music 30 years ago to today is astounding tome. Both Steve Taylor and Larry Norman we're ahead of they're time with their outspoken and unwavering way they used their music to connect to and convict people's hearts leading many to our Lord Jesus Christ. God bless them both

I remember this song when I was a kid... makes more sense now.

one of my fave steve taylor songs ever!
I find it sad that only 5200 some odd individuals have viewed this song. This is a classic no matter what your musical preference. Whatever happened to the greats of Steve Taylor,Daniel Amos, 77's? Why is there music so impossible to find and yet the music is so rich with talent and message?

Haven't heard this in 15 years - I remembered every word! :D
