@batmanownsyourass I just said that 'anime' is a common term used by fans to refer to Japanese animation. I could care less if the word came from France, Italy, Iraq, or South Africa... it doesn't change the fact that people use it in the way that they do. Calling people an idiot or moron for using it doesn't make you seem smarter than everyone else... if anything, it makes you sound childish.

We've borrowed Japan, Japan has borrowed from us, we've borrowed what they originally borrowed from us, and they've borrowed what we originally borrowed from them... if you need examples, look up the PowerPuff Girls and Lilo & Stitch again... yikes... Also, 'anime' is the closest thing we fans have to a common term, so why be so jerk-ish about its use? o.o
