My 29 has been setup for 4months and I have an outbreak myself. I've had it now for about 3 weeks. Let your tank cycle, it's a waiting game. Try small water changes every week, don't change any filter media. The diatoms will appear at different times in a smaller tank. Be patient.
Not 3-4 months! about 3 weeks. its the beginning of life in your tank. buy a clean crew snails and blue dwarf hermits and dont scrape it off... it will just come back. let it be natural and dont rush this stuff man. that means slow down on the corals and fish until the cycle is complete.
