I see a lot of disturbing comments about how "cheesy" or "ridiculous" this tune is.
What many people don't know is that Nobuo Uematsu simply loved all styles of 1970's American Rock. From Classic Rock to Heavy Metal, he loves it all. Thus, this is an homage to 70's metal. The vocals are dead on, my gosh people don't you know who Ian Gillan is?
Kids these days. If a voice isn't autotuned, it's cheesy? Expand your minds and learn some music history...!
