They Call Her Lightning

This is my daughter Emma, she played football in a boys flag football league for 8 and 9 year old boys in 2006 and 2007. She was the leading rusher and scorer both years. She had many better touchdowns but this is all I was able to capture on video because most of the time I was too busy coaching. This year she starts tackle, think she can compete?

@SkmgirlDeni Actually I am a Dad, I have worked with her in all her sports. Her Mom does not really like sports so I am the one who takes her to all her practices and events. I guess you could say I am a soccer Dad, LOL

Are you that insecure about yourself that you have to make negative comments about a 2nd grade girl playing football. girls mature faster than boys, so that is why she has an advantage. there is a reason there are men's sports and women's sports. don't let her play with the big boys when the going gets tough.

@anonymidious Yes, girls do mature faster, she doesn't play anymore, now that she is in 6th grade her main sport is soccer.

How did she do in tackle? She's awesome man! I know this is old, but more power to her. My 7 year old just finished her first year of flag with the boys (like yours kicked butt) and her 3rd year of Little League. Last year just didn't give up any hits on the mound, boys, look out next year!

shes really fast and can juke, but for tackle you gotta get her physical and a little flaw, teach her how to hold the ball right but shes really good
