Samsung Series 9 WQHD http://www.mobilegeeks.com Apple isn't the only one to show off a notebook with a Retina display, Samsung has brought out another line up to their already very successful Series 9 line up of Notebooks, the Samsung Series 9 WQHD looks a lot like its predacessor but with one major difference, it has a stunning 2560 x 1440 display.

There's nothing to sue about. Guess who makes the "Retina" displays for Apple? Yeah, Samsung.

Retina isn't a specific make of display but a term used to describe display that has a pixel density higher than the human eye can perceive.

    It's just a marketing term.

no, the common man is just that, a common man who doesn't give a shit about technology, he just wants it for purpose. its the companies that need to advertise and let the consumers understand why they need this product, retina is a good word for that. apple always advertises down to a perfect science, the get into the consumers head about why they need a mac. thats how marketing should be. consumers don't want to research, they just want a nice product, if samsung can't advertise, apple=winer.

Terms like WQHD and WUXGA have been around for ages. Perhaps the "common man" needs to get a bit more educated about technology instead of needing things to be dumbed down for him or made to sound "cool".

i would like to now demonstrate why samsung fails compared to apple, just like every other company. Apple calls their high res displays "retina" something the common man can get lured and interested by, a single word that portrays what it means. and samsung series 9 calls it........ WQHD.... ya real fucking brilliant samsung marketing chief. or asus who labels their notebooks with numbers like ux31. apple-->the new macbook air. PERIOD. these fuking companies should fail till they learn marketing
