JUST MADE IT... In 1962 "Chip Chip" peaked at No. 10 thus just making the Billboard's Top 10 and it spent a total of 11 weeks in the Top 100...
This was the last of three records by Mr. McDaniels' to make the Top 10; the others were "A Hundred Pounds Of Clay" {#3} and "Tower OF Strength" {#5}... R.I.P.

Loved your voice since I first heard it 50years ago. Never got sick of hearing,Chip, Chip,and one Hundred Pounds of Clay etc.,i always thought you were so underrated. Thanks for the memories, You still looked amazing at 76 years, I am saddened at your passing.

Great artist. Very expressive singer. Never got the credit he deserved. As good as Lou Rawls, Johnny Mathis and even King Cole. Just listen to that voice! A shame I never got to see him live and thank him for his music. R.I.P. Sweet soul brother, a fellow singer of songs, JG, CBSEye
