It's a love song - lleucu llwyd literally translates to Lucy Gray - the chorus basically says she is beautiful, worth the world to him, an angel and he loves her. The first verse talks about the first time they met - the flowers in the forest whisper her name etc, the second verse he is lying in bed waiting for her and he hears her walk up the road. dewi pws went to uni with my dad and tried to convince him not to propose to my mum - random fact for the day!

It's a celtic language, which was influenced by latin: dysgu for example discere - to learn.
However, I'm from germany too and I'm currently learning some welsh. If you are interested... just PM me or something. I can give you some recources about the language.

Many, many thanks for all your answers. This welsh language sounds warm and exceptional. Please don't be angry, if I asked a silly question: it's origin - is it gaelic? Or where does it come from?
And a last question about this song: about what do they sing?
Again many thanks for your answers and heartily greets from Nordrhein-Westfalen in Germany to Wales in Great Britain.
