Gnarls Barkley - Crazy (effect)

Ok, this one was a serious lot of work. I tried to recreate the look of Gnarls Barkley's videoclip of the song crazy. I'm sorry for the audio track. The animation is syncronized to the original song, but due to copyright protection I'm not allowed to upload it. In my video the track was replaced whith "Beat up" by Jason M.

that was amazing ! where did you get the splatter effects from?

thank you! I recorded the ink drops by myselfe. I put a wet paper towel on a glass plate and filmed from below. Then I dropped ink on the towel, and later keyed out the white.

Hey there, I just searched for more inforamtion on the artist, but unfortunately didn't find some, sorry. I used the audio swap function of YouTube. It only gives me the title and the artist.

That was really good and I hope you can take constructive criticism well but one thing I think you can imporove on to make it better is at the end when the two pistols collapsed into each other it had a 2-D affect. I think it would have been better if it was 3-D. Now please I don't want no one harrasing me in his defense saying "you can't do anything near as good" yea I admit that so don't tell me something I already know. I'm just talking to him not the audience. BTW I meant no offense. 5*s

You went to a lot of trouble replicating the effect of the Crazy video (I think needlessly, since it's possible to do the same with computer graphics alone, though that makes it no less impressive!)

That said, what was the point? Not bashing the vid, just curious. Was it just an exercise in effects or what? And why pair it wish such horrible music?

Pretty good, but the faces could use a little better job of "Hiding" themselves into the ink. If you watch the "Crazy" video, you can see how the faces can do unnoticed until it moves at times. Also, not to be a nit pick, the use of symmetry was more prominent in "Crazy" as well. Great job though, I know I'd never come up with something like this.

Cool video, but work on it a bit move :) the original moves a lot smoother and it moves with the main feature of the video, pretty good though considering.
