Great suggestion on the bedding. I've been shopping Airstream, specifically a Flying Cloud 27 foot. Very expensive yet I feel the quality is there for years. Are you pleased with your purchase?

@becxlt Yep, it came with the cover. When you first open the foam, it's tightly compressed -- but it quickly expands so that you can put on the cover. (It actually takes 2-3 days before it's fully finished expanding and airing out.)

What great tips for sleeping. I think I will try a few in the house :)

Why add more noise when noise is the problem? Why not reduce the noise with a pair of wax ear plugs?

@Dovenpeis Don't ask me why, but "white noise" is very soothing and effectively masks random background sounds. Once you adjust to the noise you will sleep better with it. I have tried ear plugs too. I think this is a viable option, but it seems easier to just mask out the noise than to eliminate it via plugs. Also, at times there could be a safety compromise when traveling. I want to be able to hear the camper's CO2 alarm, for example, if it goes off.

Well, would not “white noise” filter out the noise from the CO2 alarm as well? Anyway, you have got a really good point about hearing the CO2 alarm. This summer, on a camping ground a few minutes from where I live, a whole family perished from carbon dioxide poisoning.

@Dovenpeis Wow! That's scary. With regard to whote noise vs. earplugs, that has just been my personal determination. I felt safer masking background sounds with white noise rather than blocking ALL sound with earplugs. I think our shrill CO2 alarm (we've accidentally set it off several times, for example by spraying Lysol) would probably pierce earplugs, but who knows? But I know it would startle me awake if we were just using white noise. Safe travels (and sleep) to you!
