I agree with the Carreras comparisons. Please, please, please Michael - don't let your passaggio sound so muscular. The tone should be covered and floating on the breath through the passaggio all the way to your highest notes.

it keeps amazing me what a great sound you have. wonderful tone. my only concern is that i feel like you sing too openly in the middle and you do not cover enough making the high notes have to be open even wider. just my observation no offense intended, the voice is terrific and im sure you give attention to every part of your voice.

Lyric?? does that sound lyric to you? I would say spinto, well on his way to becoming a dramatic in 5-10 years..

hmmmm so I am reading people say Carreras, and I can agree in the middle and middle upper thye soul dis like a young Carreras, but in the high notes, he opens up a little like Corelli, not with the same power of course, but there is a timbral similarity

Very very well done Michael!!! Just follow the advise given to you by Goldenthroat86 and you will most probably be a great opera singer. We need new blood, especially talented like you...!!!!

High C? There is no high C in Nessun Dorma.
operabeauty- i'm definitely with you on Michael's timbre being similar to a young Carreras. great singing, Michael!

Quite a respectable performance from this young man. The bar has been raised ...even after hundreds bring it lower to the standard of a 'popera' aria! This guy does great honor to the composer and the art of singing!
