@liss0502 : I love it how he's trying to contain his laughter the whole time and just goes along with it.

For the first half of the first season back in 1992, the Late Show was getting some very bad reviews. I remember Peter Luck said something like "self-indulgent sketches and in-jokes done to impress their few friends". Phillip Adams, who at the time had a regular column in the Weekend Australian was one of the first to write them a positive review and, in Tony Martin's words, that helped turn the tide. By the end of the second and final season in 1993, it was the biggest show on Australian TV

@chocchipfox Tony made a mockumentary called BOYTOWN CONFIDENTIAL, a companion piece to Mick's film BOYTOWN.
Tony was cutting it for inclusion on the DVD release and Mick's production company said they couldn't afford to finish it. Tony offered to put up the post-production money himself because everyone who saw it said it was brilliant.
So Molloy's company owns the unfinished film and won't release it because it is said to be far better than Mick's terrible flop of a feature film.

@RolandDeschain1 what happened between them?
-
@PigeonPair I say 'recently' but it was really about 3-4 years ago.
It was over the BOYTOWN DVD and too involved to go into here. You could probably do a Wiki search and get the details.

lol the padre has to be obi-wans twin brother for sure
How do you count the amount of hack comedy shows that have completely ripped-off The Late Show?
Shame Mick and Tony had to fall out so badly in recently.

Hahaha - the guy from "Dashboard Doctor" (the one that walks out at the end) is a friend of mine's husband. He still owns the business (it's in Brunswick) and he drives company ute around with the 'Dashboard Doctor' name/phone number printed on his car. He apparently STILL gets at least one comment a week, asking him about this segment! Over 15 years later! True testament to how popular (and awesome) this show was! Love it all!!!
