That's the problem with our country. No one gives a shit. People need to become interested and educated in politics, because apathy isn't going to solve anything. I didn't give a crap until a little under a year ago. I couldn't believe the war in Iraq was still going on. The more I read the more I became sick to my stomach. NASCAR is doing the same thing with tracks being built in major markets as the sports stadium scenario. The Northwest,in Oregon or Washington state I believe, turned NASCAR down on building a track in that area. Good for them. I love NASCAR but hate corporate welfare. We have to vote out the politicians (virtually all of them in office now) that are the lackys of this system & vote in politicians who will not sell us out. WAKE THA FUCK UP AMERICA...

@sinistar99 A self inflicted disease is type 2 diabetes , lung cancer , heart condition, high cholesterol etc. Illness which could be easily avoid with some common sens. It's not that hard to not smoke , walk 1 hour a day and not eat added sugar more than once a week (in fact a one point food with added sugar and salt is just disgusting once you have reduce your consumption).

this is a brilliant book, it will depress the hell out of you. even when the public is on to unfair subsidies that harm the general public, they can't seem stop the politicians who they buy. the john roberts court is a joke. if you've wondered why it seems the most unproductive laws and idiotic rhetoric are carrying the day? this book explains how you're getting screwed.

i do take umbrage with johnston's term "corporate socialism, a minor detail, but it makes little sense.

this is a brilliant book, it will depress the hell out of you. even when the public is on to rip off subsidies they seem powerless to stop them. the public is being rolled and politicians are being bought to protect the few and screw the majority. the john roberts supreme court is a joke, this book has so many compelling stories about blatant corporate theft being legislated.
