these are the chords and instrumentation i like to hear in acoustic analog disco. it is not too bright, has an underlying bluesy vibe, despite the track,s tempo. this is disco.
on the turntables i would pitch this WAY back, and turn it into a sick groove. which would enhance the aforementioned elements...stellar tune anyway you slice it. the whirly after 6:00 is such a subtle sweet touch.
The 12" remix on vinyl was sick!!! Used to play Say I Am by Tommy James and the Shondells 45 over the break of the 12". Don't miss the 70's - just keep playing original 70's tracks throughout your sets - the more underground the "newer" it will sound! DAVEDJ Cleveland via New Orleans
