@bluegibby7 Technically, Tammy is known as "The First lady of Country Music". Ladies such as Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and Barbara Mandrell have held the title of Queen at some point or another, but Reba has held that title for over 2 decades now. She will continue to hold onto that title until some other lady comes along who is as great, talented, giving, and humble as she is, and who is not afraid to break down barriers for future country acts.

The two best voices in country music! Beauty and pure GOD given talent. No smoke or glitter, no fancy dresses, just stand there and sing! What more can you ask for? Beautiful harmony. I salute you both Connie and Reba!!!

A lot of people lump Reba in with some of the lesser , newer country talents but that's not really fair . She can really sing ! I have her Oklahoma Girl cd ( actually have at least 10 ) and there are tracks where she can really sing the blues as well as country- equally well.She's pretty versatile and stays pretty true to her roots. New fan of Connie SMith and she is one of the best I ever heard -ever !

No doubt any/all of humanity is subject to environmental influence. We that grew up with Connie; Tammy, Loretta, Kitty, etc., will always feel they were the best. Each generation feels singers of their generation are the best. Today, there are no doubt many people who feel Taylor is best ever. ONE THING FOR SURE; THIS IS A GREAT POST.

maybe if people like kid rock, hootie, jewell, bon jovi would stay in pop or rock music country singers could sing traditional country music. there is nothing wrong with reba's choice of music. if you are a true reba fan you would know that all her songs have meaning to her and come from the heart. she is also the best story teller on the radio today! reba doesn't owe anything to anyone. she has thanked those woman more often than not. she remembers those before her.
