Dude, if your going to quote Trek get the actors who quoted the line correct.

The quote "Best Guess" was said by Kirk to Sulu after the Enterprise had come up behind the Reliant in the Mutara Nebula. Sulu was unable to accurately lock onto the pirated vessel with the ship's computer thus necessitating a "Best Guess" or manual firing solution that was for some reason operated by Sulu when in fact that operation should have been completed by the weapon's officer at the weapon's station.

You didnt have to guess any of the measurements or scale. All federation ships have publicly accessible basic information and measurements.
