Lodi 109 Terhune Ave "Working Fire" GREAT STOP

On august 4, around 5:30am, the Lodi fire department was dispatched to 109 Terhune Ave. Upon arrival light smoke was visible coming from a 1 story 200x50 brick strip mall. A FAST Team and ladder from Wallington, along with an engine from Saddle Brook, was requested to the scene. All other mutual was requested to stand by and Lodi's firehouses. Interior crews forced entry through the front and rear doors stretching 1 line into each. The Lodi FD made a fantastic stop, and operated extremely well, including the mutual companies.

I don't know much about fire fighting. Why didn't they just break the glass in the door in the beginning, instead of trying to saw/cut their way in first?

That was glass they where trying to cut through it was the steal roll up security door...most businesses have those garage door looking things that cover the windows and doors thats what they where cutting through.
