I wanted to post up this short video from a game recently. We were facing a slow attacking team for about 20 minutes and they began to get frustrated that they couldnt destroy us, so bringing out all their tanks they try to take me and codey down you can see the result here.

I think this shows why all those players who go powering off from the spawn leaving ppl running after them shooting should wait to pick up an engineer instead of going into combat solo.

  • Luetin i got to ask, why take zoom over reactive armor?

  • @JiWada321 If I was in a map that was more built up and encountering multiple Engineers with RPG, then reactive armor would be a better choice, but on a map where you are trying to destroy targets at range I prefer the optics. Overall I prefer the optics anyway because my style of play with tanks is to destroy things at long range rather than pile the tank into close quarters combat. A tanks shells have extreme effective range, this should be capitalized

  • How can you lock tanks with the guided shell if your gunner isn't in the third turret, and there isn't a soflam on that target?

  • @francef16 because guided shells will lock on and fire the same way that Javelins do, It will fire in a more straight forward way, the soflam or citv or laser painter just means that when you fire the Shell will travel vertically faster allowing you to hit targets normally you could not as the shell will land from above. Rather than on a more horizontal level

  • @Luetin09 Aha, silly me. Well, never really used them.. and when i did, i had my friend painting targets for me with his soflam :D Thank you for the reply.

  • @francef16 using the Guided shell for tank combat is amazing because you can lock on, then as it fires switch to the main gun, this will give you a double hit usually disabling the enemy in one moment. Then follow up with another 1 or 2 hits depending on which part of the tank you fire on will destroy it
