Go for a swim? Neiva, Colombia

Neiva, Colombia: Magdalena River - the largest river in Colombia, South America.

These kids risk their lives jumping into a deep and fast-running river for tourists. The tips they collect are often used to support their brothers and sisters.

In this video, they didn't realize that when I asked them all to jump, they left no one behind to "collect" for them, so one of the kids starts yelling, "La moneda! La moneda!" or, "The coin! The coin!" In jest, I responded, "Adios!"

In the end they were quite happy with the tip I gave each of them.

i can not show that cause i dont know NEIVA but i can show what they do in manhattan for a cuarter..Dont be so AMERICAN thinking that you are the best cause youre not be realistic;and dont lie thats all i ask..too much hollywood like i said!

Never been to New York. No idea what they do there.

What I do know is what I've seen, but dared not to tape - a 6yo little girl w/her 4yo little brother, dirty from head to toe, begging people to buy some candy from them.

The difference between those kids in NY, & the kids in Neiva is that many of the kids in Neiva were displaced by the war. They woke up one day to find their farms mined by drug lords driving them to the city.

Go inside the subways in NY ando youll see how many kids live like those kids youre discribing ;and you are right about the kids and the war but im not talking about those kids, im talking about the kids in the video..Why dont you go inside UNITED STATES to the south mississipi for example ;so can see hundreds of kids that live like those from the war in COLOMBIA..they dont even have nothing to eat,,DONT BELIVE ME? In addition to Neiva a Bogota, I've visited Leticia (Tabatinga, Brasil and Santa Rosa, Peru) Cali, Popayan, Pasto, Ipiales (Tulcan, Ecuador), Melgar, Armenia, Pereira, Manzanares (Not Manizales), Honda, Jenesano, Barranquilla and San Andres. I still need to see Medellin, Cartagena and Santa Marta. I've visited Panaca, Rancho California, Parque Nacional de Cafe, Recuca, el mariposario and several other sights around Armenia. I've posted several vids of places I've seen.
