fiesta del sol was good when tejano music was en honda back on the 70,s and 80,s i remember when mazz little joe los chamacos la sombra and many other tejano bands used to play there, by the way some have the video when jhonny canales had la sombra y los chamacos juntos back to back i think it was summer of 1987 si lo tienen subanlo please i was there muchas gracias.....

Fiesta del Sol used to be great when it was on Blue Island Avenue between 18th & Cermak, now it just sucks.

Over 30 years ago I, and a few of my buddies, helped provide over night security for this festival for only a few cases of beer and some hot dogs. The next year they gave us a lot more beer and steaks. Back then it was a small festival on Blue Island.
