If you want a good laugh read the BNP manifesto, interesting combination of 1950s nostalgia (caning, state religion, conscription), safe green policies and of course their lovely brand of pick-and-choose racism depending on which group is in the papers lately that they can scapegoat. Hilarious.

Mr GoodByeLabour - I have just joined the Labour Party and to be brutally honest I would rather have the tories than a BNP government. The BNP are simply a party riding nationalistic feelings in Britain. I agree on economic policy of the BNP but many other of the points are wrong and simply awful. Labour has achieved steady economic growth, record investment in the NHS and many more things. They could have done better - But would you really prefer the tories..

Exactly, the top %5 of earners lose half of their wages to pay for the lower classes booze - as well as the tax cuts making a 4,500 tele 4,492 or something pointless like that?
You know what would save most middle earners money...
not having to make us pay for private education because we can't trust over 95% of state schools to properly educate our children.

ahh yes, more anti-conservative crap, will we ever get rid of this labour party i ask!?!?
Conservative party all the way! I'm fed up of working hard all year for my wages, then having %40 of it taken by the government, and given to unmarried mothers to buy cigarettes and get drunk, labour are too stupid to realize that the middle class actually has it worse off then the lower under them. Having to send my children to private school, because I can't trust our education system, having to lock my car in my garage, the list goes on. Conservative party 2010.

I doubt the Conservatives change those specifics. In fact, the largely put the blocks in place for the situation we now find ourselves in...

Conservative completely change the whole benefit situation, as well as them being a middle class party anyway, so the only thing they wouldn't have made much of a change in is crime, although, can you see any police anywhere other then bars?

Labour has run a similar DSS as the Tories did. The middle class has been better off under Labour, they are announcing more tax cuts for middle earners. It is the wealthy top 5% who are less well off under Labour and better off under the Tories.
