i didn't think avocados could be grown in florida! i live in pensacola and i've germinated a hass over last winter but its still so small, and i've just seen roots out of another hass that took 4months to sprout right when i was gonna toss it out.. my sister just bought some green skin avocados and im gonna try to germinate it too.. i've nicked the top and bottom and peeled the seed coat off to see if it'll go any faster.. any tips for maintaining the plants? i know humidity is key for leaves
tastes nothing like the original avocado! very plain

I just tried this large green florida kind of avocado, it's good just like the other kinds but it does taste different. I'll buy some more.
