A fork is, if you take an existing program or operatiing system, change it to your liking and release it.

I use aptosid currently on my computers and it's very good and for being Debian Sid based I've found it to be very stable with no breaks since I've installed it. I find this new distro based on aptosid interesting. It looks good and since there's an LXDE version I'm sure It's VERY fast. This distro and aptosid are both based on Debian and Debian is very fast :) It's one of the awesome facts about Debian ;) Nice review... Thanks Spatry :D

@brobriobri happy to help :>

@andamat Thanks. I've looked at both on Virtualbox, and have both shells installed on my ubuntu lucid through the synaptic as well. I've been leaning toward xfce I think. This Siduction os looks pretty nice, but I do think that I'll stick with either Lubuntu or Xubuntu in the end.

Thank you for the update! Excuse my ignorance on the subject.... but what exactly is a, "Fork" or to put it in another way what is meant by it on Linux? Thank you so very much in advance for your feedback!

@LudwigSpiegel Picture if you will that you are driving down the highway of life... all of a sudden the road FORKS into 2 directions... A FORK is when someone takes the code in a project and decides to take another route with it; continue adding features and such. An example is Gnome2 forked into 2 projects that I know of... MATE and Cinnamon.
