A north Idaho man, who was trapped underground in one of the worst mining disasters in the country, says the key to survival in a mine is fresh air. KXLY4's Tori Brunetti reports.
is an Iron Ore mine any safer than the rest of the many different types of mines? I am heavily considering mining for the Wings lake iron ore company out of St. Louis MO. I live only 15 minutes from the soon to be mining site out of Pea Ridge.
My dad was friends with Ron and what was never mentioned was that Ron's wife back in '72 was in the middle of divorcing him when the mine disaster occured. Thinking that she may be able get the large amount of money given to survivors as part of the death benefits package, she stopped the divorce proceedings and for awhile, thought she had it made.....that was until Ron came out of the mine alive and well.
