'Survivors' created by Terry Nation is a British TV series broadcast from 1975-1977. An accident at a bio lab unleashes a deadly virus that kills 99% of the human population. The aftermath leaves few survivors and a world that is thrust back to a pre industries period. The series centers on a group of survivors who come together shortly after the pandemic and learn to survive in the aftermath.
@Londonfogey It says a lot about the time it was made and how the BBC is as an institution.

What annoys me about this series is how Abby and the gang wander around the countryside like Guardian readers out rambling on Hampstead Heath, thinking that if you just act reasonably people will do what you want. She's witnessed summary execution and packs of wild dogs attacking people - but leaves her shotgun propped up outside, and says 'I've got a gun' as if it was all terribly amusing and not a matter of life or death! Still - great series and thanks very much for posting.

I remember this episode and all the comments about the dogs. The scrip called for them having to deal with "a pack of wild dogs" but even the Alsatian looked old and knackered. I think we just have to use our imagination it was a pretty good series while it lasted.

Brit drama is always so twee and gay! lol

Its so innocent and nieve how they deal with it. The reality in something like this would be far more brutal. But a good series all the same.
