Great find. The opening lines were taken from home run calls by the legendary Cubs voices of the sixties, seventies, and early 80s. Jack Brickhouse on TV: Hey Hey!! Vince Lloyd on radio: Holy Mackerel!! Lou Boudreau radio and TV: No doubt about it! A shame Vince has not been given the Ford Frick Award @ baseball Hall of Fame.

Years ago, I attended a Cubs game which was Ron Santo's first trip back in the booth after his heart attack. They played this song and the crowd roared - we had no idea what was going on until Santo peeked out of the booth and waved. The saddest of possible words should be "Tinker and Evers, not Santo?"

RIP Ron Santo

Holy Crap! I've been looking everywhere for this version of the song? Where did you find the record at?

@bhawksaddict It was in my families vacation home in North Carolina. The family are big Cubbies!
