It's time for the tour, of Kendyl Depoali Middle School, in the South Meadows of Reno, Nevada. This school will serve over 1,400 students, in 62 classrooms, 187,343 square feet, at a cost of $210 each, is $39,342,030, one of the lowest cost public construction projects in the region. It's a "green building", the building is a teaching tool, with heat generated from 373 heating wells, 95 miles of data wire, and there were 250 people employed during construction. "As one of the critics of this project, for a variety of reasons, I can tell you it has fulfilled many expectations", says Todd Taxpayer. "Mark Stanton and the Capital Projects team, congratulations on a job well done, you've had your hands full and you've done an outstanding job keeping up with the demands that taxpayers have put on your department. Thank You!"
