Sg-1 Flow of Time theme (Unending)

Ah ! Unending et ses multiples musiques magnifiques ! Dans cette vidéo, celle que j'ai nommée Flow of Time theme (vu que je ne lui connais pas de nom précis :))
C'est également moi qui joue le piano,
j'ai d'abord enregistré le thème au piano , puis dans cette vidéo j'ai ajouté la partie à la flûte alto .

@lordofseas well flute is the general category : contains recorder , transverse flute (to which you're reffering I think) even ocarina .

But to be precise , yes, I could have said it's an alto recorder (and I did in video description).

I don't think the flute does this piece justice. The original with the string instruments is better. If you have the ability i'd post another one like that.

I think the flute fits quite well, it kind of replace the oboe in the beginning of the original, but I know some people prefer the sound of string instruments, all tastes are in nature

If I had one (and knew how to play it^^) I would certainly have used it ! ;-)

yeah well It's better than nothing so I'm glad you posted it. This is the only version that I can find on youtube.

The reason I feel the string instruments + piano of the original are better is because I feel they capture the sombre mood far better. The flute is too high pitched for me ... not depressing enough. I feel violins, cellos and the like are designed for the slow/depressing type of music. I hate the sound of them being peppy or happy.

But to each their own.
