Tithing Hoax: (Episode 5) "Help, I Paid Tithes with My Rent Money!"

http://thetithinghoax.com/ - A young woman posted a Tweet stating she used her rent money to pay tithes. As a result she did not know how she would pay her rent. And she was waiting on God to send her the money for her rent. That Tweet inspired the following commentary.

I weigh in on the issue of whether you should pay your rent or pay your tithes. For me, the answer is obvious. You pay your rent. However, there are many Christians who have a different view.

Thanks to the Prosperity Gospel and the Tithe Doctrine many Christians believe that they are doing God a favor when they neglect their financial responsibilities to pay God his 10 percent.

This is SO simple: No Father would ask his Child to pay him child support. The Father is supposed to care for his children not the other way around.

How come if a man sin and the bible say that if he sin 70 times and 70 times ask with a meaningful heart for forgiveness then God will forgive him,but MAN SAY AND I DO MEAN MAN,that when you do not pay your tithes you are curse.We must understand that God never asked for man to build him an house to dwell that was man but God saw that there intentions was good so he told them how,Now that man built a place of worship they say that you should pay tithes or you are curse with a curse think.

Read Malachi 3:8-9 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me.But ye say wherein have we robbed thee? IN TITHES and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. IT IS A LIE FROM THE PIT OF HELL TO SAY THAT CHRISTIANS ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO TITHE!!!!!

@MegaBrown29 Indeed. And the second part of the scripture is because we reject knowledge. People need to be really careful in regards to speaking on the word of God. Many tend to speak from an educated/logical view point and not from Holy Spirit who reveals al mysteries

It amazes me to see how many people who still believe in religion and traditions in this world today. My heart goes out to them. If they only knew all they need is Gods word (aka the bible) and a personal relationship with God. This religion and tradition teaching has got to stop, its destroying people. The truth and everything you need to know is in the bible, and speaking/listening to God. Enough with listening to man, seek God and the truth through God only. Man will let you down, God wont!

@Kizzie1ful The Corruption that goes on in Some churhes now make me want to cuss.in the church I attend I don't like the tithes and offering part of the service most of the time. my pastor go on and on about 100 fold,where is it? even Dr. Fred K.C Price don't believe in the classic teaching of the 100 Fold.
