could someone tell me the name of this song?? I love Gale Garnett. First heard her sultry sexy voice for Francesca in Mad Monster Party when I was a kid. Man, I was hot for that puppet! And of course her hit "We'll sing in the Sunshine"... I might need to get all her records... if I can find them!

Heavens to Murgatroid! I often wondered about Gale's post-60's career! A world of thanks for the wonderful mini-biography of her you shared with us! What a beautiful & gifted lady! CHEERS, mate!!! :-)

Gale Garnett had one of the most sultry, sexy voices ever, and she wrote most of her own songs as well! She made 8 LP's worth of happy, sad, funny, thought-provoking original material in a relatively short period of time. Its a shame that she gave up on her recording career, but she has left behind a wonderful, albeit hard-to-find legacy.

Ricky: I think her voice is very strong and powerful.

My 2 favorite Gale songs as well.

Gale Garnett is truly awesome!! I love all her songs. Two of my favorites are:
1# I USED TO LIVE HERE
2# LOVIN' PLACE

Shadofax66...Thanks for the info. I had it on a 45 myself back in the day but "the day" was a long time ago. I'll keep searching...

We have it on a vinyl album of hers, but have no way to play it now....

This beautiful Bossa Nova tune even makes me want to serve cocktail drinks to everyone too! Cheers Gale!

What a beautiful Bossa Nova song! I can't help but play it over & over again while I do the 'twist'! Would be nice if the song was another 1:15 longer.
Ms. Garnett is of the most sultry, sexy, sensuous songstresses ever to grace music. She was ahead of her time and very much underappreciated. She exuded confidence and style that men admire in a woman.

Proof that Gale could sing anything - Rock, Jazz, Pop, Country, Folk, even R&B - with the effortless ease of a Karen Carpenter. Possibly the most underrated female voice (along with Donna Loren) in the '60's. Unfortunately that smooth voice just couldn't find a sticking place, evidenced by her repeated re-marketing - as a Country artist, Folkie, then a psych-pop diva. Gale, like Loren, seemed a fantastic singer somehow in the "wrong" decade! But her stuff is tremendous.
