Well if racing MX the sx will have a good bit of advantage.The suspension is wider,lower and valved for mx racing.The engine revvs quicker and higher and has a harder hit.Sx comes with mx wheels tires for quicker get up and go out of corners.So yea from the factory the SX is clearly and advantage.An XC can be converted to race MX,but the engine is designed for a different environment.Will come down to rider preference.

How much of a disadvantage would I be at in a race with an xc instead of an sx?

the exhaust sound nice.which one is it? does the 505sx goes faster that the 525xc??

@clyddoudou It's a DASA Full system.Yes the 505 is a bit quicker than the 525 in a straight line and a much quicker on a MX track.

@E46MRider great! i'm about to buy a ktm 525xc and i can't choose which exhaust to buy?dasa or akrapovic? i do a lot of trail no race.

@clyddoudou DASA does not make a full system and also is very loud compared to the Akara.You can get a full system from akra but is pricy.Both slip-ons will add power with DASA making a tad more on the top end.The akra full system will make the most power compared to any setup.Check out ktmatvhq for the pipe shootout results.The 525 is a great trail/dune quad.Does not have the power or snap of the SX engines but has more reliability.Good luck and have fun!
