Mega Man Playthrough Part 3/5: There Are Devils In Most Hells

If you think about the stages that I'm going to do, the title will make some kind of sense. :P

Well, today in this playthrough, I take care of the last of the robot masters and begin my hunt for Dr. Willy... yes I said "Willy" got a problem with that? All bad joking aside, this run was pretty good with the exception of key mistakes at the end of both levels. Oh, and those damn floating platforms from Ice Man's stage make a comeback.

This part of the playthrough contains Fire Man's Stage and the first part of the Dr. Wily Stages.

Stage Notes:
Fire Man - For the most part, things couldn't have gone any smoother up until that last stretch run where I just couldn't properly get by those Killer Bullets for some reason. The Fire Man fight is one of my most hated fights simply because of his rapid use of the Fire Storm. Even with the Ice Slasher equipped, it's basically an all out shootout to the death. I know his gimmick is fire the Fire Storm and whenever you jump over the Fire Storm, a little flame appears right under you. That could be well avoided... if he didn't shoot so many of them! However, I still get out without dying. No deaths occurred in this stage.

Dr. Wily Stage 1 - Usually, I would go through the stretch of Big Eyes with the Ice Slasher, but it's not really necessary if you know how to trick them into jumping high rather than low. I was successful with two out of the three. I could have done the same thing with the fire pillars with the Ice Slasher, but where's the fun in that; besides, I got the energy capsule afterwards. Then, there were those cursed floating platforms that I barely escaped from thanks to some quick thinking and proper Magnet Beam use. As for the ever famous Yellow Devil. I got careless, and I was hoping for the epic one-bar of health finish that I knew I can do. Oh well, but after the death (and a few more careless errors) the Yellow Devil was singing with the angels. And one more thing... JUST SAY NO TO THE SELECT BUTTON TRICK!!! One death occurred in this stage.

If you pause the continuously when you hit yellow devil with your elec beam, you can get more hits per shot at him and kill him a lot quicker

I already knew that. However, that's way too cheap a kill for me to do, so I don't do that anymore. The fight feels more satisfying without the "select trick", thus I usually say what the description says if you've read it.

Thanks, krimbe. The only thing is that I could have been much cleaner in some areas, particularly around those floating platforms, not to mention that I'm also capable of avoiding all of the Yellow Devil's attacks.

Oh well, that's the joy of recording while playing.

Yoh LV, Just by looking at this play though i can tell that i would have hated playing this HARD AS HELL GAME!!!. You the man.

Im still going to get the emulator and play the game though.

I like how you have to force your way into Willy's base, unlike some supervillians who just let the Hero in, like Bowser, Willy's not so overconfident, but I don't like that the Yellow man boss fight is so pattern based.
