It you're studying chemistry you ought to have Chime on your PC. It'll take ten minutes. Chime allows you to view 3D molecular models that you will find on many academic chemistry web sites. Chime has been around for ages and is surprisingly capable. It's reliable too - I can't recall a time it didn't work - and in 2011 it is still a staple way to view models. Lately another way to view models has been growing in popularity. Called JMOL it has the advantage of working on Mac; Ubuntu and Windows computers. What's more, it's likely that your computer can view Jmol models without extra configuration. Chime has to be downloaded and installed and this video shows where to get it.
Roger Frost's Organic Chemistry animation is made to work with Chime on Windows, and is being converted to work with Jmol. The work completes in 2011 when it will be available to use on pretty all the computers and browsers we've tried.
