I dont think lineage should even be considered here. The Gracies came up with Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in their own back yard, assigned belt ranks to it and started teaching it. Now that 10th Planet has come along should they not be allowed to do what they want with the info. If you want to consider them stealing from BJJ then why not consider BJJ stealing from Japanese JJ or Judo. The line always has to start somewhere.

Not sure what all the drama is regarding Brandon and 10th planet system but it sounds from the comments that his lineage/rank is being questioned. To be honest, I could give 2 shits about his lineage/rank - Brandon has some of the best JJ instruction out there (along with Richard Whirley, Ari Bolden & Eddie Bravo). Personally, I think there is too much emphasis put on lineage - let the rolling do the talking ... if you can win then the loser can kiss u're ass. If you lose, practice more!

You have no idea what you are talking about. Brandon Quick is a good grappler. Something Ari Bolden is not. Don't compare them. Look at how they do in tournaments if you want to know how good there are.

Denny is not the only one, take a look at sean bollinger... you know what i think is a grave misconception, is that people think Eddie said he invented everyting. but he says in his books that he took everything he learned and tweaked and improved percentages using the stuff and put it in a system... thats all

@TheStudentofthegame sense as well as mma, i believe that due to the over unders, deep hook transitions as well as the breaking down and maintenance of space 10th planet is more logical than regular Gi based training. And the argument of time is very valid man. it takes years to perfect something, most blackbelts gi or no gi say 10 years... 10thplanet hasnt been around 6, so when it comes to more championships time will tell... also with time comes numbers..
