the seljuks were Muslims but i believe the Abbasid empire lasted from 750 until1519..

Andalusia (various dynasties) 711-1492..
the ottoman empire collapsed in 1924!!

this ignored both the crusades, the Macedonian Empire,the Seljuks, and the fact that the Islamic Empire, which i assume meant the Caliphate, collapsed within about a hundred years!

@Rader55 well actually it was religion that brought culture to the middle east. and the fascinating thing about the middle east is culture. actually if you think about it, most of the worlds oldest cultures are/were made with religion.
